The first ISO 8000 Data Quality Conference will take place in Battle Creek, Michigan on Wednesday October 15th and Thursday October 16th. Prior to the conference their will be an opportunity to become ISO 8000:2008 Master Data Quality Manager certified on October 14. For more information, click here. The conference is being held in Battle Creek, the home of the Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS) a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) activity (www.dlis.dla.mil) and celebrates the transition of the Federal Cataloging System and NATO Codification System into an open public standard through the eOTD, ISO 22745, ISO 29002 and finally ISO 8000. The conference is a landmark event focused on the application of the new international standards for data quality that define the process for the creation of quality data in the form of consistent and unambiguous descriptions of individuals, organizations, locations, good and services.
Quality descriptions are at the heart of design, manufacturing, procurement and ERP systems. Learn how you can apply these new standards to define your data requirements and measure and improve the quality of your data, learn how to upgrade your master data to meet the latest data quality standards, learn how to request missing data and how to answer requests for data, learn how to generate consistent ERP short and long descriptions.
The conference will be preceded on Tuesday by an ISO 8000 certification program for Master Data Quality Managers and an open networking reception on Tuesday evening. The Wednesday and Thursday conference program itself includes presentations and workshops by defense and industry data quality experts, an awards dinner on Wednesday and exhibits from leading international providers of data cleaning and data quality management applications and services.
